1 Years Old Today!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROXTON!
My baby boy turned 1 years old today. It has been such a fun and very fast year. It made me a bit "happy sad" today when 10:01 am came around and I thought about the exact moment when my boy entered the world. It was so amazing. So special. I thought about the first time he cried and they placed his little body on chest all 6 pounds 19 1/4 inches of him. Then I thought about all his firsts ...the first time his dad held him, the car ride home, holidays, rolling over, sitting, teeth, standing, everything. It has been a WONDERFUL year and I can't wait for the next 50 watching my boy grow up. So this past weekend we had a little birthday party for Brox. Thank you to everyone who made his day so WONDERFUL Here are some fun pictures of is big day....

It's the most WONDERFUL time of the year!

"I'm not just a whimsical figure who wears a charming suit and affects a jolly demeanor. You know, I... I... I'm a symbol. I'm a symbol of the human ability to be able to suppress the selfish and hateful tendencies that rule the major part of our lives. If... you can't believe, if you can't accept anything on faith, then you're doomed for a life dominated by doubt. "
- Santa Miracle on 34th Street

"This bell is a wonderful symbol of the spirit of Christmas - as am I. Just remember, the true spirit of Christmas lies in your heart. "

10 MONTHS!

I can't believe that my baby boy is 10 months old today the 16th. It is so crazy how much time has passed and yet it seams like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. Broxton is a ball of energy. He loves to go around saying Dada Dada Dada. We are trying so hard to teach him to say Mama but he just looks at us and says "Dada" with a big grin on his face. He is crawling everywhere. He stands up on his own. He loves to pull him self up on the coffee table and walk around it. Brox loves to get into Dad's X-Box stuff. He loves to be outside, drink from his sippy cup and flick water at people from his sippy cup,and play with all his toys. He just got a new toy in fact. It is a walker thing he can ride on and stand behind to help him learn to walk. So far learning to walk is not his idea of fun. He would much rather sit on the toy and have someone push him around. Broxton has 2 teeth on the bottom and this week got one of his top teeth. His favorite foods are... hot cereal, scrambled eggs, Ham-pineapple dinner, apples-chicken dinner, Hawaiian rolls, all fruit, cheese, mashed potatoes, apple juice & white grape juice, and his snacks (rice snacks and his yogurt snacks). Broxton also loves to get into Mom's drawers in the kitchen. We now have had to baby proof our home, but he still gets a drawer full of Tupperware he can play with.
Only 2 more months and our little man will be 1 years old! Where have these last 10 months gone?

Mom and Dad love you Son! With all our hearts!

It's FALL...

So it is officially Fall and it is the month of October and that means... it is officially time to get pumpkins! Last week our little family went to the pumpkin patch so Broxton could pick out his very own and his very first pumpkin. It was such a fun night. When we got to the farm we took a little hay ride. The tractor guy dropped us off at the pumpkin patch where we were free to go and find the most perfect pumpkin. When we got off the hay ride and we were let loose. It was so fun watching all these little kids out finding their most perfect pumpkin. Broxton had a good time too, I think, even though he didn't have a clue what was going on. Next year will be even more fun when he can actually walk around and find his own. This year Dad got to help in the picking out of the pumpkins. After we found a pumpkin for Mom and Dad and one little one for Broxton we jumped back on the hay ride to go and have them weighed. Once they were weighed it was time for the corn maze! Brody was so excited because a radio station was there for "media night" and they had put buttons throughout the corn maze to find. If you found a button then you could turn it in for a prize. So after a while in the maze we found 2 buttons. When we turned them in we won a $15 gift certificate to Red Robin and 2 tickets to some fighting match. Brody was so excited! We had a wonderful time at the farm. Can't wait to do our family tradition again next year. Our pumpkins now reside on our front porch until it is time to carve them for Halloween.

1st Hair Cut...

Today Broxton got his 1st hair cut. He was so stinking cute. He didn't even cry. He sat on Dad's lap and just patiently waited till he was all done. We did however have some snacks during the ordeal because he was getting a little wiggily. My boy is all grown up now and he is only 9 months old. They say it is the first hair cut and that's when they become actual little boys and not babies anymore.... I think I have to disagree with that :) He may be doing big boy stuff now but he is still my baby boy. Broxton did a great job today we are so proud of him. We love you son!
Thank you so much Stacie for the big boy hair cut!

She is finally here....

My best friend and her husband welcomed their baby girl into the world Saturday September 12, 2009. She is BEAUTIFUL! I am so happy for Nick and Hailey. I was really bummed because I wasn't able to be there when she was born. But walking into that hospital room when I got back home and seeing the gorgeous miracle they created was one of the most wonderful moments of my life. Hailey and I have been through everything together and now our next adventure is motherhood.
CONGRATULATIONS Nick & Hailey... your little Camdyn is perfect!

FOOTBALL SEASON HERE WE COME...

So football season is just around the corner. Brody is getting all ready for the 1st game, Thursday BSU vs Oregon. He is so excited. It is so fun to watch him get so anxious about a game where guys in a uniform run around throwing a ball. This year we have our litttle man who is for sure a Bronco Fan!Bro was telling me the other night that he can't wait to take his boy to football games. It was so cute. He is the best dad. Now,I get excited because when football season is here so is the fall. The crisp cool air and the beautiful colors. It also is girls time. When Brody is with his Dad at a game, I get to spend time with my Mom. I love being with her. We go out to eat (usually Sizzler...Yummm) and then shopping every once and a while. Not only are there BSU games but we get to go watch my Dad coach football for Capital and my little brother has his games too (this is his 1st year of tackle. YAH!). So as you can see this time of year is something Brody and I look forward to... lots of family time, food, hot chocolate, blankets, and Friday and Saturday nights in the bleachers with screaming fans. What a WONDERFUL life!

FUN WEEKEND at LAGOON!

Last weekend, (August 15th) we went to Lagoon. I was in Salt Lake already for work during the week and so Brody, Broxton and my family came and met me there for the weekend. We spent Saturday night in Salt Lake. We spent lots of time at Temple Square. I love going there. The is nothing more beautiful then the Salt Lake Temple and the feeling you get just standing on the grounds of something so majestic. I love it!

Family picture... just missing Brody (he was taking the picture), Broxton, Mikey and Danielle.

After a while of walking around and going to the Tabernacle to see where Conference is held, we got hungry. My dad had made reservations for us at this really neat Mexican Restaurant called The Mayan Adventure. It was really neat atmosphere. There were performances of people dressed up and diving into water, all while you eat.
The next day we went to Lagoon. We spent the whole day riding rides, walking around, eating good carnival food, basking in the sun at Lagoon-a-beach, and just enjoying each others company. It was so much fun. Pretty soon it was time to head home. It was a fantastic weekend with my family. Thanks guys for all the fun!

Crazy Exciting Life.... aka an update.

So life has been crazy with exciting news lately. First off we sold me cute little Miata, but it's okay because we got us a family car. We got a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I LOVE IT. It is so fun to drive, it has tons of room, and now Brody wont have to push us out of the snow in the winter.

Then on Thursday July 30th, Broxton learned to crawl. It was so fun to watch him get up on all fours and rock back and forth. Then he just went. He moves everywhere now and gets into everything. He has learned to pull the DVDs off the bookshelf and turn up and down the volume on the TV. He also likes to play with Dad's Xbox (press the buttons) and knock over his stack of games. He also found the guitar for Guitar Hero. I think we might have a guitar player on our hands. Uncle Mikey will like that. :)

These pictures were taken right before he crawled

So today was Hailey's Baby Shower. I am so excited for her and Nick. They are expecting their 1st baby this September. A cute little girl. Her room is brown and pink Lady Bugs, so her shower was brown and pink lady bugs . So cute! It was so fun to see the little dresses and shoes and blankets. They got lots of fun things.

The Grandmas
I can't wait to meet and hold that little girl. You are going to be a wonderful mother Hailey. I can't wait to do the mom thing with you. Congratulations Sista! I love you always!

So the 4th of July we spent in Pendelton, Oregon on our way home. We watched a huge Pow Wow at Wildhorse. It was very fun to watch all of the natives dancing in competitions. While enjoying the show we treated ourselves to snow cones. YUM! It was very fun. When it got dark Brody, Broxton and I followed the town crowed to a dirt lot and watched the firework show from our car. It a very fun. Brox loved the fireworks. He just stared and stared. He never took his eyes off till it was over. Then we put him in his car seat and within seconds he was asleep. It was a fun 1st 4th of July for our little man.
