2 Years Old!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

My baby boy is finally 2 years old. I cant believe it. He is getting so big way too fast. When 10:01 am rolled around on Dec. 16th I started thinking about all the things he has accomplished this past year. He learned to walk, run and jump. He can throw any ball and loves to play basketball and football with his dad. He learned to say a few things like... Dada, Momma, Taos, Jace, car, cereal, bowl, there it is, Toy Story, whered he go, please (but it sounds like da), room, and blankey. He is quite the gabber monster and you can have a conversation with him but 90% of it you cant understand. When I get home form work everyday he runs to the door go give me a big hug and kiss and then he starts his story telling me everything he did that day. He is very animated and loves to talk. Brox also loves to sing. He especially loves to sing Christmas songs. Well we have had a fun year with our little man. cant wait to see what the terrible twos bring.

I love you Broxton more then you'll ever know and I am so happy I get to be your mom. Your dad and I are so proud of you!

Christmas Time!

Well, Christmas is just around the corner. My favorite time of the year! Our home is all decorated, just about done with Christmas shopping, and the snow has been coming down like crazy here. It is a winter wonderland outside for sure. We took Brox to see Santa this year and he hated every minute of it. He cried and cried. In fact Santa even had to stand behind us so Brox couldn't see him. When we were done with our picture, Santa gave Brox his first candy cane and he loved that.

The Fall 2010

So it has been a few months since I last wrote. So here is what the Chaplin Family has been up to this past Fall..... Football season has come and gone. We spent lots of time at the fields. My little brother Taos played again this year. He did so great. It is so fun to go to and watch him. One day he will be coming to watch his little nephews play on the same field he did. It will be so fun!

My dad is also coaching again and of coarse the boys had to support their Papa so they got their COACH TINK shirts:)

BOSTON

We went to Boston in October 2010. It was so much fun. I was there for work for a week and then when was all done Brody and Broxton met me and we spent 5 days. It was Broxton's first time on a plane and he did awesome! Here are some pics of our great family vacation.

The buildings were so neat in downtown Boston. They still have the very first building built and then sky scrappers surrounding it. Very cool!

Broxton standing in front of Harvard. Maybe one day when he is a grown boy we can come back to this same spot and take this same picture when he graduates:)

We got to see a Red Sox/ Yankee game at Fenway Park.... An American Dream! We finally got to cross that off our bucket list. It was such a neat experience, such wonderful history!

One day we drove up to Maine and saw the beach. Maine is beautiful in the fall. This was Brox's first time at the beach and seeing the ocean. We also saw the oldest lighthouse in Maine.

When we got home from our trip it was time for pumpkin picking at the pumpkin patch and Halloween. Brox was our little Tigger this year. The costume was my little brother Taos' when he was 2 yrs. Pretty cool that Brox got to wear his costume!

July....

Well, July is almost over and I have no idea where it went. I cant believe it is almost August. Our month was really fun. We had a wonderful 4th of July. On the 3rd we went spent the day with my parents out and about looking for a big boy bed for Brox. We never found one but we did however get icecream shakes and took them back to Nama & Papa's and ate them outside and played backetball and rode the scooters.

Later that night we went and watched the Hawk's firework show. Broxton didnt really like the loud sounds but he loved the colors. Every once and a while he would smile but for the most part his face look like it does in the pictures below....(thanks so much to my sister-in-law Danielle for taking pictures that night. Without you we wouldn't have captured these wonderful memories.)

On the 4th of July we spent the day over at Grandma & Grandpa's swimming and having a BBQ with all the people we love so very much. There is nothing better then family, food , swimming and games. Broxton and Dad even had matching swim trunks. When it got dark we did a firework show and played with sparklers. It was an awesome day.

This was Broxton's first time holding a sparkler. His didn't look like a sparkler though. It looked more like a stick on fire.

Taos' however did indeed look like a real sparkler.

Broxton got to hang out a lot with his cousin Jevan this past month too. They are so cute together and play so great.

Broxton finally got a big boy bed this past month. He has done such a wonderful job making the transition from a crib to a bed. He has never fallen out and he sleeps through the night however he gets up much earlier then he use to. The first night he was in his bed I was so nervous, but he did awesome. Not only did he get a new bed but he also got an updated room. Brody, my mom and I spent a whole day painting stripes on his wall and hanging up his pictures (some pics were in Brody's room when he was a little kid) and making his room more like a big kid room and not such a baby room. I love how it turned out. Also Grandma got him some new Buzz Lightyear jammies for being such a big boy and sleeping in his new bed.

Well, July has been really fun. I am really looking forward to August and the Fall and Football season (go BSU and the Captial Eagles).

Off to the MOVIES.....

This last weekend Broxton got to go for the first time to the movies. . Our Saturday started with breakfast at IHOP with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Tyson. Then off to the movies we went. We saw Toy Story 3. Broxton just loves Toy Story. He lights up when ever he sees Buzz or Woody in a store or on TV. Brox did so great in the theater. He sat through the whole movie with his blanket, his Buzz & Wood Shirt, and his M&M's. It is so fun getting to experience the 1st's with my little man. It was such a fun day. My favorite part of the whole day was when we got in the car and Brody said to me... "I have to tell you, that was one of the proudest moments I have had, watching our boy sit with his favorite show and have the biggest grin on his face and me knowing that he is so happy." I just about melted when he said that and I totally agreed with him.

The month of May....

Well, the month of May flew by. It cant believe it. We had a great time. Here is what has been going on in the Chaplin World.

Broxton got to meet his best buddy for the very first time.

Just hanging with the Jacester!
My Cowboy on Mother's Day! All he wants to do is wear his cowboy hat around (even in his Sunday clothes) and pretend he is talking to people on the phone.

We went a visited Grandpa Weaver over memorial day. We took him flowers and a flag. I love going an seeing him. Sure do miss you Grandpa:)

Broxton's first camping trip ever with Grandma & Grandpa. He loved the playing outside, the campfire, smores, going on walks with the dogs, and sitting in his new Toy Story camping chair.

He love driving Grandpa's RV too

May was a wonderful month.... lets bring on June!

FINALLY HERE

Baby Jace is finally here. He entered this crazy world on May 11, 2010 weighing in at 4lbs 7oz. He is such a stinkin cute baby. It was so awesome to be waiting in the waiting room for the big event and all of a sudden see my little brother came walking down the hall with his baby boy smiling from ear to ear. It was such a wonderful feeling. At that moment all of my memories with my little brother, my side kick came fluttering back and I thought to myself.... that chapter in our life is over, now we are onto a new one... kids. I am so excited to live so close to each other and to have our boys so close in age and I hope that they are the best of friends. Congratulations Mikey and Danielle. You both will be awesome parents. Jace is pretty lucky to have you for his mom and dad. We cant wait to finally hold him and Broxton cant wait to meet his best buddy.
