Fun day at the Water Park

This last week we took the kids to the water park here in town. It was so much fun.
We met up with my cousins and had a fun water afternoon.

Playing in the Kiddie Pool. The water was freezing
so both kids hated it.
Broxton did however like to gather all the tubes
but he wouldn't go too far in the water,
ust enough for his feet to get wet.

Both Tinley and Broxton loved the Wave Pool and the water was even warm.

I just love the ruffles on Tinley's swimming suite.

And to top off the afternoon...
we got us some ice cream!

Way up in the Sky....

I was going through old pics and I came across ones of our Helicopter Ride back in the Fall of 2007. Many thanks to my Uncle who had given us this as a wedding gift. Brody and I were so excited because we had never been in a Helicopter.  The ride was for an hour flying over Boise. The pilot even flew us over the spot where we were married. We also got to take 3 guest with us so we asked My dad, Brody's Dad, and my brother to come along with us up in the Sky. It was so much fun! A memory and experience we will never forget.

Track

Broxton started running Track a couple of weeks ago. He loves it! He cant wait to go every week so he can "run with the kids" is what he calls it.We meet up with my cousins and their kids and Broxton gets to have fun playing with them and running races with them. It is fun to watch all the little kids run. Sometimes they run, some times they walk, but they all have big smiles on their faces- especially when they are handed a ribbon.I am so proud of my boy and I look forward to watching him play many more sports.

Happy Father's Day!

Yesterday was Father's day and we celebrated by going to lunch with my father-in-law and spending some time with my Dad. It was great to see both of them and give them presents from the kids. Then we came home and I made Brody dinner- Beef Stroganoff is what he wanted- and then we had some ice cream cake! Broxton was so excited because he got to pick out the cake and the color of writing on it and he couldn't wait to give it to his Dad.

Thank you Brody for being such a amazing Father to our children.
 We Love You so much!

Also wanted to wish a Happy Father's Day to my Dad. I couldn't help but think about how wonderful of a Dad I have. He is so special to me.I look back on my childhood and he has always been there. He has always stood by me through thick and thin no matter what and that has meant so much. My mom always told me when it came time to get married that I was to look at my Dad as an example. The quote below totally reminds me of what my Mom was telling me ....

The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother.
--Henry Ward Beecher

This is one of my favorite quote because I believe that it is completely true. My Dad has been a great example in showing me how a man is to treat a woman. He loves my Mom  I am very privileged to have found a man just like my Dad to marry and spend forever with.....a man who completely in love with his wife and adores his children.

Thank you my Bread for being such a wonderful Dad! I Love You!

Happy Father's Day to my favorite Father-in law Randy. He too has definitely shown Brody how to treat a woman. Thank you Randy for raising such a wonderful son and showing him how to be a great husband to his wife and father to his children. I am so glad you are the one I get to call my father-in-law!

Memorial Day...

Today is a day that I look forward to every year. I am so thankful for all the men and women who serve our country! Coming from a military family it really has a special meaning to me. There is one person that really stands out on this day especially, and that is my Grandpa. He was a very handsome man, especially in his uniform! There is no wonder why Grams fell in love! I miss him like crazy. He died when I was only 7 years old and we had very little time to create memories but those memories we do have I will never forget, like eating watermelon on the front porch on a summer nights, watching MASH on TV after dinner and working out in the yard. He was one special guy and I love him very much. I just wish he were here to see my little family now and meet my husband. He would have loved Brody!

Me and my Grandpa

Grandpa & Grams

Well, since today is Memorial Day we got up, put out our flag, and went to have breakfast and then off to his grave to take him some flowers with my mom and Taos. My mom always made it very important that we remember all those who serve our country and to take time no matter how busy our life gets and go visit Grandpa. So every year we go and visit him especially on Memorial Day.

Years Ago
Me, Mikey and Taos visiting Grandpa when Taos was like 2 years old.

Today 5-28-2012
This Memorial Day was a little different ....
Broxton was so excited to go visit Grandpa Weaver that he kept asking where his house was and wanted to bring his new toys to show him. I had to explain to him that Grandpa was in Heaven with Jesus. It was a very hard concept to try and explain my 3 year old but was one that I will cherish.
I took Broxton to the store to pick out flowers and a flag all by himself. He was so exited.
We also put some flowers on the graves right next to Grandpa's. They didn't have anything on them so Broxton helped me put a couple on each of them.
While we were doing that I noticed a mother with her 2 children and a big bag of red Carnations. They were walking around the cemetery and putting flowers on all the graves that didn't have anything on them. I thought that was such a neat idea and tradition to teach her children.
I think I might just do that one year.
This Memorial Day was such a wonderful  peaceful day. I am pretty sure that all of those people that have passed on were there today watching and waiting for
their family and friends to visit.
I bet they too get very excited for this day.

Thank you Grandpa Weaver
for serving our Country!
We love and miss you very much!

April Showers bring May Flowers...

Now that April has brought all the rain, my plants are getting so big and beautiful. I just love the warm weather and the green grass and the full trees and plants. I just love it. It makes houses look so much nicer and full of life. I also love to pot flowers. My mother-in-law always has the most beautiful flower pots in her backyard and I just love it, so I try to make my backyard look beautiful l and full of color just like hers.

Every Mother's Day my in-laws get me a hanging
flower basket for my front porch.
It is one of my most favorite gifts!
The baskets are always so pretty and
add so much color to our home.
Thank you Randy and Roxy for my beautiful basket!

My pots aren't nearly as big as my Mother-in-laws
but I think it still turned out pretty good.
Maybe at the end of the season this year some of
the big pots will go on sale and I buy some.
Notice the Blue and Orange flowers...
Brody helped pick out the flowers this year and
of coarse he wanted to represent Bronco Nation! :)

I planted this Lilac bush last year and it finally bloomed this year (thanks to those April showers)
It is so pretty  with the dark and light purple colors, plus it smells so good.
Lilac Bushes remind me of my Grandpa. He loved them and had a huge one in his yard.
