HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

This Thanksgiving was spent with my family (the Tinker side). It was such a wonderful day. Actually it was a wonderful weekend. ON Thursday morning, Thanksgiving of coarse, Brody went over to my brothers house to play in a Turkey Bowl. They do this every year. My brother organizes a football game AKA a Turkey Bowl and he has a breakfast and then they play. While Brody is out in the freezing cold, I am in our nice warm home getting food ready for dinner and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. I absolutely love this parade. It is on my bucket list too... one time before I die,I want to spend Thanksgiving in New York and go to the Macy's Parade and then have a traditional Thanksgiving and then go to Macy's and shop. Oh, I would just LOVE that. One day!
So once Brody got home from the cold, he got ready and we headed to my parents house for some grub. It was a festive day. My mom decorated so wonderfully. The table was decked out in leaves, candles, Pilgrims, Indians, ect. I made some cute Oreo Turkey name place holders for everyones seat. We had a fabulous dinner of turkey (that my brother always carves), rolls, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. It was so good. While we ate we played one of my Dad's many made up games. This one had to do with a band and or artist and you had to guess who it was, something like that. This was Tinley's first Thanksgiving too and she had mashed potatoes for the first time. She even sported a turkey headband and bib.

After dinner we just hung out. Kids got baths and into their PJ's and they played with the toys and then we had dessert. PUMPKIN PIE and OREO TRIFLE. It was so yummy!!! Danielle did a great job making the Pumpkin Pie. Thanksgiving just wouldn't be the same with out Pumkpin Pie.
Then on Friday Brody went shopping with his brother and then later we went back to my parents house to help put up their Christmas stuff. This is so special to me because I have done this with my mom since I was a little girl. Every year the day after Thanksgiving we decorate the house with Christmas stuff. It usually take almost all day to do, so of corse we always eat left overs for dinner. So good. Then on Saturday Brody went to the BSU football game with his brother and the kids and I met my mom at the mall to do some Christmas shopping. It was a wonderful weekend. I love the traditions we have in our family and I look forward to doing them every year.

HAPPY HaLLoWeeN & Pumpkins

This year for Halloween, Brody brought the kids to work to go trick-or-treating. Broxton was Buzzlightyear and Tinley was a Ladybug (this was Tinley's first Halloween). Broxton had alot of fun going around my office getting candy. Nothing scared him either. We also went to all the Grandma's and Grandpa's houses and Uncle Ty's and Aunt Malia's house to do some trick-or-treating. Broxton scored on the candy this year and I am not sure what I am going to do with it because we rarely eat candy. :)

This year we also to the pumpkin patch to pick out our own pumpkins. I love doing this as a family. It is a tradition for sure that I plan on continuing even when I am a grandma. It is so fun to see how happy my little boy gets when he hops onto the hay wagon to go for a hayride out to the pumpkins and then he gets to pick out his very own treasure from the patch, a treasure all his own. Tinley had no idea what was going on but it was fun for her none the less. Next year will be more fun because she will be walking and can pick out her very own too.

We have been busy....

Here is what we have been up to lately......

We went and watched the Hot air balloons take off. My little brother Taos spent the night and we had a big slummber party. Broxton thought that was so much fun. Then we got up really early and headed to the park to watch the hot air balloons. It was so much fun.

We had our annual FENCE MOVIE NIGHT at my parents house. We all go over for a great movie projected onto the fence and some popcorn and treats. This is so fun. The kids love it too. Taos is always the MC. This year we watched Grease. I have a feeling in the years to come Disney movies will be appearing on the screen.

Tinley's first fence movie

Taos the MC
Mom and Dad
Mikey & Danielle
Jace didn't really care about the movie,
he was just happy going in and out of the sliding glass door :)
Hailey, Nick, & Camdyn joined us too!

We went and watched my little brother Taos play football every Saturday morning. He did awesome this year. Their last game they finally won (after a 3 year record of 0 wins) which put his team in the championship. At the championship game and in the last few minutes of the game, the other team had the ball and they threw it and Taos intercepted it and won the game for his team. It was so awesome!! And every time Broxton sees or talks about Taos & or football he says "Taos number twenty two"

Made our own special shirts to cheer on Uncle Taos

We are so ready for FOOTBALL SEASON!!

The other morning as I was headed out the door for work I noticed the lady's maple tree in her front yard, the leaves on the tips of each branch had started to change from green to red. I just love her tree in the fall because it is the only bright red tree on the block and it is just so pretty. I got so excited because that means as soon as her tree starts turning colors that means that fall is almost here and with fall comes cooler weather, yummy food, apple picking time, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course FOOTBALL! Bronco's Football, Eagle's football, and Hornet's Football. Brody is getting really excited for the Bronco's and cant wait for games with his Dad (only 16 days till kick off!)

Broxton is getting excited too. Maybe this year he can go to a game with his Dad. Dont know how long he will last but I think he would have so much fun. As we do every year at this time, my Mom and I get to send alot of time together while all the boys go the games. Now we have another little side kick to hang out with. I am so excited to get to start that special time of the year with my little girl just as my mom and I have while Broxton and Brody get to have their special time.
This is going to be a great Football Season!

" The Best Day"

This is Brody & Broxton's Song...

The Best Day

George Strait

We loaded up my old station wagon
With a tent, a Coleman and sleepin' bags.
Some fishin' poles, a cooler of Cokes,
Three days before we had to be back.

When you're seven you're in seventh heaven
When you're goin' campin' in the wild outdoors.
As we turned off on that old dirt road
He looked at me and swore...

Dad, this could be the best day of my life.
I've been dreamin' day and night about the fun we'll have.
Just me and you doin' what I've always wanted to.

I'm the luckiest boy alive,
This is the best day of my life.

His fifteenth birthday rolled around,
Classic cars were his thing.
When I pulled in the drive with that old Vette
I thought that boy would go insane.

When you're in your teens
Your dreams revolve around four spinnin' wheels.
We worked nights on end 'till it was new again,
And as he sat behind the wheel he said,

Dad, this could be the best day of my life.
I've been dreamin' day and night about the fun we've had.
Just me and you doin' what I've always wanted to.
I'm the luckiest boy alive
This is the best day of my life.

Standin' in a little room back of the church with our tuxes on,
Lookin' at him I say, I can't believe, son that you've grown.
He said,

Dad, this could be the best day of my life.
I've been dreamin' day and night of bein' like you.
Now it's me and her,
Watchin' you and mom I've learned,
I'm the luckiest man alive,
This is the best day of my life.

I'm the luckiest man alive,
This is the best day of my life.

"It Won't Be Like This For Long"

Brody told me the other day in the car that this is the song that reminds him of his baby girl....

It Won't Be Like This For Long
Darius Rucker

He didn't have to wake up
He'd been up all night
Lying there in bed and listening
To his newborn baby cry

He makes a pot of coffee
He splashes water on his face
His wife gives him a kiss and says,
"It's gonna be okay"

"It won't be like this for long
One day we'll look back laughing
At the week we brought her home
This phase is gonna fly by
So baby, just hold on
It won't be like this for long"

Four years later, 'bout 4:30
She's crawling in their bed
And when he drops her off at pre-school
She's clinging to his leg
The teacher peels her off of him
He says, "What can I do?"
She says, "Now, don't you worry
This'll only last a week or two"

"It won't be like this for long
One day soon you'll drop her off
And she won't even know you're gone
This phase is gonna fly by
If you can just hold on
It won't be like this for long"

Someday soon she'll be a teenager
And at times, he'll think she hates him
And he'll walk her down the aisle
And raise her veil,
But right now she's up and cryin'
And the truth is that he don't mind
As he kisses her goodnight
And she says her prayers

He lays down there beside her
Till her eyes are finally closed
And just watching her it breaks his heart
'Cause he already knows

It won't be like this for long
One day soon that little girl is gonna be
All grown up and gone
And this phase is gonna fly by
So he's trying to hold on
It won't be like this for long
It won't be like this for long

2 Months ...

A couple week ago Tinley turn 2 months old. Last week we went for her check up and she gotten to be quite the big girl. She now is weighing in a 10 lbs 4 oz and is 22 inches. She is marking at the 50% in all categories. Tinley is doing great. She is one happy girl too. She just started smiling and cooing. Sometime she has quite the story to tell. She just loves her Grandpa too. When ever he gets near she just brightens up and smiles and talks to him as if they were have a full on conversation. They are best buds. Grandpa calls her his little girlfriend, it's pretty cute.

Loves her Grandpa!

Hanging out with her brother!

I love taking pics of Tinley and then finding almost the exact same one I took of Broxton around the same age. It is so fun to see how similar they are. It's a true fact, Tinley is just a girl version of her brother. (the pic below of Tinley is after her 2 month appointment. She got her shots and she got those cool pink camo band-aides)
